Working great by simple bluetooth, but can't run CarPlay. Sometimes it connect for maybe 15-20 sec before falling out. Have tested different iPhones with IOS lower versions than 15, and CarPlay is running perfectly. My old iPhone (X) was working perfect at the same car.

The CX-50 and CX-90 already have wireless charging, wireless CarPlay, and CarPlay touch screen functionality. With the CX-9 gone after the 2023 MY, that leaves the yet unannounced 2024 MX-5 Miata as the only Mazda model not yet confirmed to finally have touchscreen and wireless functionality available for Carplay.

I have a 2016 CX-5 that has been working fine for 18 months, and today I started the car and The infotainment system didn't boot up. I had the mazda logo, then after 30 seconds the screen went black and the logo came back on. It repeats this every 30 seconds, and the only thing that works is the volume knob by the controller in the center. First, long press the power button for a few seconds. Next, open the menu tab. From here, select “Factory Reset.”. Now, wait till the factory reset is complete and the car stereo turns on again.
